Point of Melting 2.0 continues the exploration of transformation through material and process, developed as part of the collaborative practice of NO ON studio. The piece investigates the fragile threshold between destruction and creation, where matter abandons its original identity in order to emerge in a completely new form.

Created from recycled aluminum scrap sourced from discarded beer and soda cans, the object embodies the cyclical nature of material existence. Through intense heat, the aluminum transitions from solid to liquid and back again - a process that preserves traces of its past while allowing unpredictable textures and formations to appear naturally during cooling and solidification.

The sculptural body is contrasted by a hand-shaped neon light element, whose soft glow introduces a sense of calm and immateriality against the raw physicality of the cast surface. Together, these opposing qualities create a balance between industrial harshness and atmospheric presence, transforming the object into both a functional light source and a collectible sculptural artifact.

As part of the Point of Melting series, the piece reflects an ongoing fascination with impermanence, entropy, and rebirth - revealing beauty through the continuous transformation of matter and the silent poetry hidden within its evolution.
