Syndesmos

Syndesmos is a sculptural wall lamp created as part of the collaborative design practice of NO ON studio by the designers Yulian Mikov and Dimitar Vranchev.

Derived from the Greek word σύνδεσμος - meaning “bond,” “connection,” or “link” - the piece explores the relationship between light and form as inseparable elements of a unified composition. The concept reflects the idea that light cannot exist without a body to define it, just as form remains incomplete without illumination.

Entirely handcrafted from specially treated steel and hand-shaped neon, Syndesmos balances industrial materiality with a soft atmospheric presence. Part of the τροχιά collection, the lamp is conceived as both a functional lighting object and a collectible sculptural piece, designed to enhance interiors through mood, contrast, and spatial identity.

Its minimal yet expressive form allows it to integrate naturally within a variety of environments, including residential interiors, hospitality spaces, bars, offices, and contemporary architectural settings.
