Selene

Emerging from the dialogue between mythology, light, and material, Selene is a sculptural wall lamp created within the collaborative practice of NO ON studio by Yulian Mikov and Dimitar Vranchev.

Inspired by Selene, the Greek goddess of the Moon and sister of Helios, the piece reflects the symbolic connection between the moon, intuition, and the subconscious mind. In mythology, Selene is associated with dreams, inner clarity, and the quiet awareness that emerges through darkness and stillness - themes that shape the emotional essence of the object.

Handcrafted from specially treated steel and hand-shaped neon, Selene combines raw materiality with a soft luminous presence. Part of the τροχιά collection, the lamp is conceived as both a collectible design object and an atmospheric interior element, balancing sculptural expression with functional mood lighting.

Its restrained composition and ambient glow allow the piece to integrate naturally within a variety of interior environments, including living spaces, bedrooms, hospitality venues, hotel foyers, offices, and contemporary architectural settings.

Selene is ultimately conceived as a tribute to nocturnal clarity - to the silent wisdom, reflection, and emotional depth that only the night can reveal.
