Helios
Helios is a sculptural wall lamp developed as part of the collaborative practice of NO ON studio by Yulian Mikov and Dimitar Vranchev.
Inspired by Helios, the Ancient Greek god of the sun, the piece draws from the poetic mythology surrounding the eternal cycle between day and night. In Greek legend, Helios journeys across the sky before descending into the sea at dusk, making way for his sister Selene, goddess of the moon. The lamp captures this symbolic transition - a quiet moment of exchange between light and darkness, movement and stillness.
Entirely handcrafted from specially patinated steel and hand-shaped neon, Helios explores the emotional presence of light as both atmosphere and narrative. Part of the τροχιά collection, the piece is conceived as a collectible lighting object that merges sculptural expression with functional illumination.
Its minimal yet expressive composition allows it to function simultaneously as mood lighting and as an art object within interior space.
More than a lighting object, Helios represents a reflection on rhythm, transformation, and the perpetual return of light.
